Hepner's Rebellion is an indie bluegrass bohemian band, from Philadelphia. The band members tell their fans, "Yeah, we love what we do. We just wanted to do something different." And different is what  they achieved.

Artists like Young Miles, have turned struggles into motivation. The young lyricist talked with us about watching his house burn down on prom night, and how he has run up the numbers on his Soundcloud, making him one of the most listened to rap artists out of Delaware.

From Concerts to Portraits

First State Studios has no limits on what kind of art you produce. We leave it open to the creator to decide. Hunter Lied, who has taken a liking in concert photography, works on a different level than an artist like Yonnie.

Freelance photography has grown more popular than ever over the past decade and will continue to do so because of things like social media and digital platforms. But although it has grown so popular, the quality of work has also grown. Artists are more eager to challenge what has not been already done, or also bring back something that most people thought was gone forever.

Everybody has a story. Photographers typically tell theirs through pictures. But we've taken the liberty of getting a little more personal with them.
Xander Opiyo talks what makes his photography so special, using both digital and film to produce his work. The young photographer has made quite a name and reputation for himself in the Delaware areas, from combining the elements of horror with his own dreamlike vision.

Do you have any advice for people who want to start getting into modeling? 

​"Trust yourself. Go with what you think is best always & reach out. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. A good place to start is by hashtags, taking some pics of yourself add those hashtags & see the response you get. Try & network whether that be in person or through the net (we don't say internet lol)"

What's it like modeling on a runway? 

"I love the runway. I equate everything model wise to basketball being on that runway crowd full of people watching your every move. It's like game 7 of the Finals, you can’t screw that up or it's over for you, everything's on the line."
