Born and raised in....
Western Pennsylvania, it didn't take William long to start exploring the world for himself. After graduating college Rose ventured to Germany, where he ended up living for quite some time. This is where William's music career was jump started. In Stuggart, Germany he quickly learned that playing guitar at a coffee shop could actually make him some money. He said to himself,
"Wow, I can actually do this."
Work moved him all over the world. From Germany to Bankgok, Moscow, Singapore, and all throughout Europe. On his work tour, William's love of music remained stagnant and he never put down writing songs. When he finally returned to the U.S., William had a bittersweet realization of how good we really have it here. Having been to Uganda and Nicaragua, where he was in charge of building hospitals and medical clinics, William's life had changed. The villages he stayed in had no air conditioning and people had to fetch their water, although they were happy. Kids were playing soccer with him, and he made friends with everybody. Upon his return to the States, he was saddened that Nicaragua is the way it is when we have it so easy over here. He told us, "I'm very blessed to have what I have."
Over time, William has collected stories from the experiences he's lived through as well as from the people he's had the privilege to meet. Now back in the Kennett Square, PA. William is preparing to release his first full length album that has remnants from all of his journeys.
If you were to capture capture the moments of change in the lives of humans, the mundane and the astounding, then turn them into catchy melodies- you would be describing the music of William Rose.
