FEATURED BANDS IN THIS EPISODE:
SORTED BY APPEARANCE ON SHOW IN EXCEPTION TO ARTIST OF THE MONTH

CROOKED COLOURS
FEATURED SONGS: Do It Like You/I'll Be There (18:05-19:40 / 19:40-21:08)
Artist of the Month goes to Crooked Colours all the way from Perth, Australia. But that's not the first time we've seen an artist on The Dot that's from overseas. Turns out the band went into hiding and everybody thought they were done with music, they've had their fair share....lucky for all of us, they hid in that cave for so long perfecting their brand new album Langata....CONTINUE READING

The band is set to perform at huge festivals coming up this year, including Firefly right here in Delaware, Laneway, and Bonnaroo just to name a few.

ONA  FEATURED SONG: Summer Candy  (0:30 - 1:55)

As written on their website, "the songwriting process for Ona begins when somebody in the band brings an idea that is just starting to take shape. Then the rest of the band helps mold it into the final product, with credit shared equally." These guys just sound like the defintion of Brotherhood...I wonder if they were in a frat together?...CONTINUE READING

ALASKALASKA  FEATURED SONG:  Meateater (5:41 - 7:14)
Alaskalaska reminds me of Stella Donnelly vocal-wise, who was featured in March's episode of the Dot that you can get to by clicking here if you so feel the need to. Incorporating the saxophone with some "fork in the blender" rhythm drums is always a great mix, I just think Alaskalaska has done it best is all....CONTINUE READING

P.S. - After you read this, please take the time to visit their website. All I'm saying.

DUCKWRTH
FEATURED SONG: Nobody Falls  (7:14 - 8:44)

Okay DUCKWRTH has been on the come up since the new SpiderMan movie, Into the Spiderverse. He truly has not stopped working since that movie. The music speaks for itself. This is an artist you'll want to see in concert if you like jumping, yelling, moshing, and the equivalent. High energy lyrics and dumping bass makes up...CONTINUE READING

DADDY LONG LEGS   FEATURED SONG: Mornin Noon Nite (9:35 - 11:15)
Otherwise known as the blues bashers, Daddy Long Legs brings us back to a time of blues and classic rock and roll. Better grab your beat up knickers and suspenders because fast dancing is what you'll be doing at this show. Their sound is noticeably lo-fi, which helps bring us back to older train hitching days, and runaway blues.

I'll be honest, some people may not enjoy this kind of music, but frankly I don't think they care....CONTINUE READING

SANTI
FEATURED SONG: Sparky  (12:10 - 13:20)

Dropping bars with a dance hall beat has Santi's name all over it. Drake tried and he did good. But he stopped when we liked it. Ozzy B/Santi is an alternative rapper/singer from Nigeria who will bring this back into action and deliver with each song. Sparky is a favorite of course who combines different genres of music to produce his unique sound.....CONTINUE READING

SYML
FEATURED SONG: WDWGILY  (13:20 - 14:50 )

SYML, also known as Brian Fennell, who was previously part of the indie band Barcelona, comes from Issaquah, Washington. After living in several places in and around Seattle, he's returned to his hometown and lives there currently where he writes and produces out of his bedroom....CONTINUE READING
BAYNK   FEATURED SONG: Go With U (16:05 - 17:40)
BAYNK, once again...he was featured in last month's episode as well with his track Water.  Check out April's episode here.  BAYNK is definitely on the rise and someone who will soon be all over the radio. Otherwise known as Jock Nowell-Usticke, has made such an amazing come up...CONTINUE READING

BETICAL   FEATURED SONG: Runnin (21:35 - 23:00)
A French electric duo, Betical is hitting the ground running...get it? Runnin'. For this particular track the duo paired up with UK singer songwriter Tailor. As Complex UK stated, the song features a driving rush of synths that build dramatically beneath Tailor's stirring vocals...CONTINUE READING
