FEATURED BANDS IN THIS EPISODE:
SORTED BY APPEARANCE ON SHOW IN EXCEPTION TO ARTIST OF THE MONTH

FONTAINES D.C.
FEATURED SONGS: Liberty Belle/Television Screen (17:20-18:09 / 18:09-19:00)
Fontaines D.C. is selling out shows left and right including their show close to our home, Philadelphia. Not to mention one of their top songs on the debut album is titled Liberty Belle....

You wouldn't be alone if you listen to this punk band and immediately think of The Ramones. The five members come from overseas, out of Dublin, Ireland. Their debut album has made the charts both in the United States as well as the motherland they come from. Fontaines would like to personally thank their manager who apparently, as they phrased it, "kicked them in the arse 3 years ago which led them to all of this."... CONTINUE READING

WILDER WOODS  FEATURED SONG: Someday Soon  (4:44 -6:50)
Wilder Woods has just made his debut, introducing his sound with two singles. And he only has two songs released thus far. So speaking on behalf of those two songs, one being Someday Soon, we will be seeing more and more of Wilder Woods in the near future due to how much us millenials love the vibe his music carries. People have thought of his sound as somewhere between Kings of Leon and Vance Joy, incorporating acoustic arpeggios and strong lyrics he can belt out with a ton of emotion.

“I’ve heard that wisdom comes from love and experience, but I don’t think you can understand either one unless you’re willing to take a chance and dive headfirst into the unknown.” - Wilder

From a basement in Kommetjie , South Africa, Diamond Thug is now touring Europe and reaching wavelengths all the way over in Delaware. W.H. LUNG
FEATURED SONG: Empty Room (9:10 - 10:45)

Meet W.H. Lung, a very unique trio from Manchester that made a seemingly overnight breakthrough into the music industry. Using synth pop sounds, W.H. Lung will have you feeling like you're stuck in this weird realm of 80's pop and alternative indie. Their songs on this debut album are generally long, but don't let that turn you off. Each song builds and releases tension, switching up the flow and sound all throughout each track... CONTINUE READING

MAYBIRD      FEATURED SONG: To You (11:13 - 12:44)
Honestly this is one of the most rightfully done psychedelic rock groups of our day. Maybird keeps it interesting for their listeners with each song,  changing vibes, moods, and emotions. And that's what their music really is about - the feeling. In To You featured in this April edition of the Dot, we hear a sort of high filtered voice accompanied by a smooth melodic bell and acoustic guitar, ... MaybirdCONTINUE READING

MEN I TRUST
FEATURED SONG: Numb (13:16 - 14:43)

Founded in 2014, Men I Trust, is an indie band from Montreal, Canada,  composed of Jessy, Dragos and Emma. Yes his name is Dragos. With smooth, chin-bouncing rhythms & bass lines, warm guitars and alluringly subdued vocals, longevity – in all its forms – is an underlying theme in their craft. The trio perfects that "alone in my room" type music, ranging from lying on your back in your bed to dancing with your sweatpants and socks on... JAMES HERSEY
FEATURED SONG: Taking You Home  (14:44 - 16:13 )

James Hersey is an incredible musician from the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. Not only intelligent in songwriting and playing instruments, James was raised bilingually. Looking back, he‘ll tell you his childhood was influenced heavily by guitar-driven music handed down by his father, an American expat. BAYNK, otherwise known as Jock Nowell-Usticke, has made such an amazing come up since being a chemical engineering graduate.
