7/26/2019 0 Comments The Generationals Inspired By CNNThe Generationals are considered to be a new wave duo from New Orleans, Louisiana. Made up of Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer, the duo first released their debut album back in July of 2009. Talk about a 10 year anniversary. The band name originated after breaking away from their original band which was a three-piece. The two current members of the Generationals said that after breaking up, they watched a lot of CNN during the presidential election and noticed every issue being brought up on the news was deemed a "generational issue." It was only right. You would never guess The Generationals come from New Orleans when you hear them. Their sound is far too bright, not much of a blues or southern sound to them. More so, they focus on some lo-fi, electronic, indie, and doo-wop sounds. The combination that emits from all those different genres is frankly what our generation wants nowadays. So The Generationals are doing it right.
