The Generationals are considered to be a new wave duo from New Orleans, Louisiana. Made up of Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer, the duo first released their debut album back in July of 2009. Talk about a 10 year anniversary. The band name originated after breaking away from their original band which was a three-piece. Gemini Rising
FEATURED SONG: Just Because (6:16-8:00)
Gemini Rising is a three-piece band project consisting of Fiora Cutler, Lester Mendez, and Marco Niemerski who all met in Los Angeles. They report having felt instant chemistry between each other, bonding through their love of 80s synth pop. Which honestly sounds like the one of the funniest ways to build a friendship. I can just imagine the trio being so giddy over different parts of a song. Over a year, moving between Berlin and Los Angeles, the trio created music that is considered to be retro-futuristic pop. The band has seen some radio play in Los Angeles early in their career....CONTINUE READING

Deep Deep Water
FEATURED SONG: Something In The Water (8:00-9:51)
This band has only just begun. Deep Deep Water currently has only two singles released. But they've successfully made their way to The Dot. Coming from London, the foursome intrigued the ears of Joe Goddard, who has produced albums for Disclosure. With something of that status on their side this early on into their career, there lies a bright future ahead for the London band. Combining simple street lyricism with a ton of instrumental music within the two songs they have released, it's obvious why someone like Joe Goddard would find these guys to be successful in the near future....CONTINUE READING
