FEATURED BANDS IN THIS EPISODE:
SORTED BY APPEARANCE ON SHOW IN EXCEPTION TO ARTIST OF THE MONTH

Artist of the Month: Palace
FEATURED SONGS: Martyr/All In My Stride (17:20-19:02 / 19:02-21:34)

Artist of the Month goes to Palace who just dropped their new album this month of July 2019. In an interview with DIY Mag, they stated, "We thought we might be the shittiest band in the world." But what if this sort of mindset is the exact reason they've come so far in their music careers...CONTINUE READING
The Generationals
FEATURED SONG: Save This For Never  (00:30-02:03)

The Generationals are considered to be a new wave duo from New Orleans, Louisiana. Made up of Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer, the duo first released their debut album back in July of 2009. Talk about a 10 year anniversary. The band name originated after breaking away from their original band which was a three-piece. The two current members of the Generationals said that after breaking up, they watched a lot of CNN during the presidential election and noticed every issue being brought up on the news was deemed a "generational issue." It was only right...CONTINUE READING
Gemini Rising
FEATURED SONG:  Just Because (6:16-8:00)

Gemini Rising is a three-piece band project consisting of  Fiora Cutler, Lester Mendez, and Marco Niemerski who all met in Los Angeles. They report having felt instant chemistry between each other, bonding through their love of 80s synth pop. Which honestly sounds like the one of the funniest ways to build a friendship. I can just imagine the trio being so giddy over different parts of a song. Over a year, moving between Berlin and Los Angeles, the trio created music that is considered to be retro-futuristic pop. The band has seen some radio play in Los Angeles early in their career....CONTINUE READING
Deep Deep Water
FEATURED SONG: Something In The Water (8:00-9:51)

This band has only just begun. Deep Deep Water currently has only two singles released. But they've successfully made their way to The Dot. Coming from London, the foursome intrigued the ears of Joe Goddard, who has produced albums for Disclosure. With something of that status on their side this early on into their career, there lies a bright future ahead for the London band. Combining simple street lyricism with a ton of instrumental music within the two songs they have released, it's obvious why someone like Joe Goddard would find these guys to be successful in the near future....CONTINUE READING
Kat Edwards
FEATURED SONG: Good Girl  (10:46-12:30 )

All the way over in Hobert, Tasmania is an incredible young artist by the name of Kat Edwards. Drawing influence from Bon Iver, her music is said to be soulful acoustic folk. As we see it, it's that plus so much more. Within her new single, Good Girl, there is so much energy involved. The young female musician is now supporting bigger artists at live shows...CONTINUE READING
Cannons
FEATURED SONG: Talk Talk (13:07-14:30)

Sparked by childhood friendship, the Los Angeles indie group first formed when two of the members, Paul Davis and Ryan Clapham met Michelle Joy. Paul and Ryan grew up in LA on the same street, and tried several times to start a band but couldn't find the right sound until they crossed paths with Michelle. Put 70's grooves and 80's electro-funk into a blender and out comes a smooth flavor known as Cannons....CONTINUE READING
White Cliffs
FEATURED SONG: Sidewalk  (14:30-16:00)

White Cliffs himself states he is a "music chef cooking saucy jams for your face." ....CONTINUE READING
The Jungle Giants
 FEATURED SONG: Heavy Hearted (22:15-23:50)

As per usual, more indie music comes from Australia, this time from a group called The Jungle Giants. Started in 2011, the foursome first released their debut album back in 2013 and has been growing since. Heavy Hearted is their most recent song they've released. It's been two years since their last album, so keep an eye on these guys as we foresee a new album coming sometime soon....CONTINUE READING
Sonny Fodera
FEATURED SONG: Rise (24:22-24:58)

Sonny has been on a grind since the jump. This Australian house DJ is now touring between the UK, Australia, and the United States. Fodera is currently settled in London, most likely creating new sounds as he continues to drop brand new singles. He has lived between Australia, Ibiza, London, and the United States while making music....CONTINUE READING
