SHAED In The Spotlight

So at first glance, the Washington D.C. trio, SHAED, was catching nothing but shade by radio plays and charts...which sounds so crazy to everybody. Not only is their music different, but the band has such a fun personality.

Anyways, given time, the song was caught by a second wind and used by Apple for a new MacBook Air commercial that you may have seen on TV. After that, their single Trampoline started to rise and rise and eventually, BLAM! Trampoline is #1 on Alternative Radio.
Riff Magazine talked with the band and Max Ernst (short hair) who plays keyboard, drums, guitar, and backup vocals, told Riff...

“I think [we’re] always kind of most excited about the song we’re working on at the time, as well. … When we made ‘Trampoline’ it wasn’t like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is gonna be the song.’ It was just kind of another song. We thought it was really cool but we just kind of moved onto the next one. And then the commercial happened, and that gave the song a whole other life itself."
Taking a closer look at the band, you might notice the two guys look very similar. Well that's because they're identical twins. Max Ernst has short hair, and his brother Spencer has the long hair. And hold on, it goes deeper than that. Chelsea Lee (lead vocalist and goofy one in the gifs) is their sister in law.

So as bands say they're like family, SHAED really is family. We believe that chemistry might be the reason for the bangers that come out of this band.

With a background in music and songwriting under the pseudonym Pierce Frolic, Kyle personally knows the amount of work and determination that goes into becoming an artist of any medium. Towards the end of high school, Kyle realized the lack of support in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware for the arts and underground talents. So he began digging deeper into the lives of local artists, and thus, First State Studios was born. Sobieski has a diverse musical palette and loves nothing more in life than seeing people who are passionate and courageous with what they do. "It's these people who make the world a more colorful, intimate place for everybody."
