The Dynamic Duo of Run The Jewels

The dynamic duo of Killer Mike and El-P have made names for themselves with their stone-cold flows and witty lyricism. Beginning as a rapper and producer, the two soon formed the supergroup we know them as today, deriving their name from LL Cool J lyrics.
Built on lyricism, Killer Mike bodies every track. With a headliner like Rage Against The Machine, it's only right to have Run The Jewels at the festival to accompany them. More popularly known for their remixes and features, Run The Jewels is one show that is not like the others.

First State Studios Top 3 Songs We Hope To See Performed At Firefly

1. Legend Has It
Killer Mike goes in on their most popular hit, but when does he not go in?

2. Close Your Eyes (And Count to Fuck)
The title is absurd but it's a great representation of Run The Jewels.

3. Nobody Speak (feat. Run the Jewels)
Although it's DJ Shadow, this is a great slowed down edition of Run The Jewels' music.

"Outside of the working world, music is something I invest a lot of time in, in more ways than one. I could spend hours on my SoundCloud timeline, Apple Music, or YouTube discovering new artists to listen to and enjoy. I have channeled this love into brief music reviews that can be found in the appropriate part of this website, and more recently, the First State Studios website.  I have also begun to produce music myself, learning the ins and outs of Ableton, Serum, Audacity, and other necessary software, and it still remains one of my favorite ways to spend my free time. It has sparked a love for learning new technologies and software and is something I hope to continue to grow with. I feel that my lifelong interest in the technical side of creative arts combined with my newfound analytical knowledge combine perfectly to serve me well in the marketing and advertising realm."
