9/3/2019 0 Comments LoverAustralian artist Lover, released two singles back in 2018. Now he’s back with “Starving” to give us a taste of what is to expect for his upcoming EP. In creating this summer jam, he linked up with long-time collaborators Tanssi and Gold Cost trio Daste. Lyrically he says the song is about the struggle in pursing music as a career. Get it? Starving artist? The lyrics are intense and worrisome while the tone and delivery seem much more relaxed and almost happy. The video features Lover lying on the ground with his head phones in and eyes closed as the video changes through multiple settings. It seems like the message of the song may be that Lover understands that many of his anxieties are of his own creation. Sometimes it’s okay to just have fun or relax, even if you’re in the process of chasing stardom.
