Cash Cash Pop Rock Turned EDM

If you're a fan of EDM, then you’ve probably heard of Cash Cash. Hailing from New Jersey, the three-man trio consists of Jean Paul, Alex Makhlouf, and Samuel Frisch. The band has accumulated 1.6 billion streams since their start in 2007, and as of 2016 have released four full length albums and an array of singles and EPs. They’ve also released a ton of official remixes for artists such as Krewella, Capital Cities, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, and Bruno Mars.

The group first began with friends Jean Paul and Samuel Frisch under the name The Consequence in 2002. Under this name, the band released three songs. In 2007, Jean Paul’s brother Alex jumped on board, and from there the musicians worked together to create a number of demos. The name Cash Cash was created in 2008 when they signed with Universal. Their first full length album Take It to the Floor, debuted in early 2009, and what followed that was a tour that included artists Metro Station and Tyga.

1. Millionaire (feat. Nelly)
It’s just such a fun song to listen to. Amazing song to workout to!

2. Take Me Home (feat. Bebe Rexha)
Bebe Rexha is amazing in this, and I just love the beat to it.

3. Devil (feat. Busta Rhymes, B.o.B & Neon Hitch)

Busta Rhymes and B.o.B together. Enough said.
In 2013, the band signed to Atlantic’s Big Beat, and their first single for the label “Take Me Home” featuring Bebe Rexha, was released that same year. The song peaked at number fifty seven on the US Billboard Hot 100, and was in the top ten charts in Australia, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

Their 2016 album release- Blood, Sweat & 3 Years- was their first big beat, and featured artists such as Busta Rhymes, Nelly, Christina Perri, and many more. Their most recent release-Can We Pretend- with P!nk, is featured in the artist’s eight studio album Hurts 2B Human, and reached the #1 Spot on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs. Their newest single, Mean It (feat. Wrabel) was released in January.
