Best Things to Check out Online During Quarantine

With everyone staying in their homes, festivals having been canceled, tours put on hold, some of our favorite artists have been getting creative online.

Earlier this month, Rihanna hosted a virtual party through Instagram with guest performances from Lil Uzi Vert and other artists. Later that week, Lady Gaga hosted and performed on the On World: Together At Home Global Broadcast alongside artists like Adam Lambert, John Legend, and Michael Bublé.

Some artists have gotten a little more creative. Over the weekend, Travis Scott premiered a new song at a virtual concert hosted in Fortnite (yes, the video game.) Over 12 million players attended the virtual concert, where a towering avatar of the artist performed across a transforming landscape.

With the live entertainment industry turning online, these weeks are the perfect time to connect virtually with artists all over the world. Here are some of the highlights for next week.
Meditate with the RZA
legendary producer and Wu-Tang Clan Member the RZA is leading a guided meditation this week.  Six episodes are available on spotify, one for every day of the upcoming weekday, if you’re still following that kind of schedule. Monday kicks off with episode 1, “Kill The Noise, A lesson a day keeps the stressing away.”
Virtual Clubbing
As another casualty of the COVID19 crisis, the global clubbing scene has all but come to a grinding halt. However, there are some who are trying to bring the party back online. United We Stream has connected with a number of clubs and live performance venues in Berlin to bring high profile livestreams to your home. Along with hosting talks throughout the week, the organization has also been streaming some sets straight from the heart of the Berlin clubbing scene. Their website has a schedule of all upcoming virtual events.

HÖR Berlin has also been bringing Berlin based artists to the livestream scene via their youtube channel. For the past few weeks, they’ve been hosting multiple sets throughout the afternoon from a rotating cast of guests DJs from all over the world.
