When did you decide to become a hair stylist/makeup artist?

When I decided to go to a Vo-Tech Highschool to pursue cosmetology after my mom ( who is also a cosmetologist ) told me I couldn’t.

Through Blue Lenses Video Interview

What do you feel is the most rewarding part of your career?

Everyday I get to boost someone’s confidence and help them feel beautiful!

What are the most exciting things you've been able to do/be a part of?

In High School we got to visit AI DuPont children’s hospital once a month and perform services on patients and their family members, and it still to this day was the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my career.

Do you have any advice for people who are interested in becoming a hair or makeup artist?

My advice to those who want to pursue a career in Hair or makeup, have confidence in yourself! People will tell you that you’re not good enough or there’s no money in it, but when you apply yourself and just keep practicing you can be the best in the industry, nothing is stopping you!

Where do you envision yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I will absolutely still be working in a salon and working with brides on their wedding day, but hopefully I can incorporate more editorial work all over the world.
Looking at your Instagram you post a lot of amazing pictures of your work. Do you think utilizing Instagram helps you connect with your clients more?

Absolutely! Word of mouth in a small state like Delaware goes such a long way. Social media makes the job a lot easier. It helps me promote my work, but also allows me to interact with my clients whether they have a question about their hair or just want to show off their bomb selfies!
