Enter The Dimension of Space Jesus

Brooklyn-based electronic artist Jasha Tull is coming to Firefly to transport you deep into the intergalactic wormhole. With low frequency baselines frequently augmented by what might be the sounds of spaceships whirling across galaxies, Space Jesus  produces soundscapes that are easy to get lost in.

Translating his own unique sound across genres, Hull keeps an interstellar attitude throughout all his projects. His last full length album, Close Encounters, exemplifies Space Jesus’ transcendent style. On the project, Hull effortlessly transitions between electronic sub-genres while paying homage to the hip-hop influence that he grew up surrounded by living in New York.  Defying the limits of any one musical genre, Space Jesus crafts a dimension all his own.

Watch Space Jesus Performing Live With Trippy Visuals

While his style is experimental and can be hard to nail down, one thing you can be sure to expect to see at a Space Jesus set is plenty of wild visuals. Beat drops are punctuated by pulsing lasers and surreal projections that bring the stage alive. If you catch his set don’t be surprised to see hundreds of glitched-out Thomas the Tank Engines hurling toward you- it’s not the drugs, it’s just Space Jesus.
Following a series of festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Electric Forest, Space Jesus has attracted a wild following who are sure to show up ready to rave when he takes the Firefly stage this June. With such a wide range of experiential and eccentric electronic music on his discography, his performance is sure to be a one of a kind experience.

    Author: Sarra Sundstrom

Sarra Sundstrom is a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Delaware. Pursuing a career in communications, she is interested in working with music and art and finding ways to combine that with a passion for the environment. When she gets some time away from her laptop, she’s probably spending time getting lost in the woods somewhere at a festival or on a nature trail. When it comes to music, she listens to just about anything but finds herself coming back to old school hip-hop, reggae, and techno. She’s always down for a live show and is a great plus one.
