6/20/2019 0 Comments Santi Perfects Dance Hall MusicDropping bars with a dance hall beat has Santi's name all over it. Drake tried and he did good. But he stopped when we liked it. Ozzy B/Santi is an alternative rapper/singer from Nigeria who will bring this back into action and deliver with each song. Sparky is a favorite of course who combines different genres of music to produce his unique sound. He grew up with a passion for music starting at an early age after listening to his dad’s old records. He started acting at the age of 10 and went into music professionally at the age of 16. He dropped a mixtape in July 2011, which welcomed a lot of buzz and reviews as the best mixtapes ever in Nigeria. He was also one of the ambassadors for Nokia in the successful 2012 ‘Don’t break the beat’ campaign alongside rappers Phenom and Muna. In 2013 Ozzy B released a 13 track EP called the Birth of Santi, which was labeled a pioneer in the new generation of Nigerian music. Source: Music in Africa Santi is a Nigerian artist and core element of the Nigerian music group, Alte. Alte could be described as a collective of young artists in Nigeria who have been drawing inspiration from varied continental and global influences. They incorporate their cultural roots, as well as the sounds of pop, soul, indie, dance, R&B, dancehall, and hip hop. One of the main focuses of Alte, is to spread their sound across as many genres as possible, all while still meshing and tying back in to one another someway somehow. Santi told DJBOOTH, "Alté represents freedom, genuine love, expression, and most importantly the reminder to never suppress your ability." While it's still a bit of a slow rise for Alte, the young musicians have begun working alongside some larger names within Nigeria, to help them push their vision along. We expect Santi in particular to make an impact in America, especially in the club scene.

With a background in music and songwriting under the pseudonym Pierce Frolic, Kyle personally knows the amount of work and determination that goes into becoming an artist of any medium. Towards the end of high school, Kyle realized the lack of support in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware for the arts and underground talents. So he began digging deeper into the lives of local artists, and thus, First State Studios was born. Sobieski has a diverse musical palette and loves nothing more in life than seeing people who are passionate and courageous with what they do.
