“Gus Dapperton sounds the way Urban Outfitters smells” according to one Reddit user. But you can tell exactly where this idea is coming from when you take one look at the singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Gus Dapperton is known for his distinct look, which includes his green bowl cut, flashy jewelry, eyeliner, and thick rimmed glasses. This year, he has already released an album titled Where Polly People Go to Read and is back again with a new single titled, “Give It to Me Straight”. Gus was also a student at Drexel University until he took a semester off to go on tour for his album; You Think You’re a Comic, in 2018. His song, “Of Lacking Spectacle”, was released as part of the soundtrack for the show, 13 Reasons Why. While the last two years have been great for Gus, this is still only the beginning. He begins a US Tour in September with a stop in Philly at the Union Transfer on November 12th.
