I started my tattooing career in Atco, New Jersey 14 years ago. I moved to Downtown Wilmington, Delaware in December of 2009 to open my own shop called Poppycock Tattoo. .What style would you say is your specialty? I specialize in colorful neo traditional/ illustrative designs. I also have a knack for tattoo cover-ups (I love the challenge). |

What was your favorite tattoo you did over the last month?
It’s tough to pick my favorite tattoo that I did this last month, but it’d have to be the “Where the Wild Things Are” tattoo since I loved that book as a child and it brings back fond memories.

What kind of art do you like to do outside of tattooing? I love painting kitschy vintage designs plus anthropomorphic food and animals. I also dabble in Victorian style rodent taxidermy. How do you approach custom design pieces? For custom designs, I always suggest booking a consult before a tattoo appointment. That way we can discuss tattoo ideas in person and look over any reference photos, so I can get an exact idea of the tattoo concept. After discussing the tattoo idea and receiving the tattoo deposit, that goes towards the tattoo’s price, I create the custom tattoo design specifically for that client and show it to them for final approval. |
