Do you have any other creative talents besides tattooing?
I’ve been a piercer for 16 years and will always continue to be one. I love working with my hands so anything where I get to build or create something. Making something out of nothing a really enjoy.

What would you say is your specialty as far as tattooing goes?
Definitely anything with hard line work. American traditional, mandalas... whatever makes people happy, that’s what I like to do.
What’s the most meaningful tattoo you have?
Probably my sons’ names on my hands. Or mine and my wife’s wedding anniversary with a conjoined twin skull I have on my stomach.
What’s the most rewarding part about being a tattoo artist?
Helping people change their image to feel better about themselves. Making people happy. Maybe converting old scars or old tattoos that bring back bad memories of things into something beautiful and positive.

What is the most difficult aspect?
Dealing with the public! Trying to keep everything as fair for everyone as possible. Trying to give clients what they want and still do what’s best for them.
Do you have any advice you would give someone interested in starting a career in tattooing?
Start when you’re young, work really hard, put your time in, pay your dues, go above and beyond. Being a self-starter is probably the most important thing I could tell someone to work hard at being.
